Mt Buller Resort Information
An easy three hour drive from Melbourne, Mt Buller is close enough for a day's escape yet far enough away for a holiday. Mt Buller has everything you need for the perfect winter experience and is proud to be Australia’s premier alpine resort.
Our comprehensive network of 22 lifts gives you access to over 300 hectares of skiable terrain, with something to appeal to all levels of ability. Our runs range from the wide beginner's slopes of Bourke St and Burnt Hut Spur, to the challenge of our black runs like Chamois and the back of Summit.
Mt Buller has invested in three new chair lifts in the past nine years, including the Bonza Chairlift in 2012. These investments provide continued improvement to a system that can move up to 40,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.
Mt Buller has terrain parks designed for all skill levels and an ultra cross course, with a dedicated snow grooming team to maintain their condition. Buller Ski Lifts has also continually invested in its world class snowmaking fleet and now boasts an extensive system of 219 snowmaking machines, including 141 automatic guns…this means more snow, more often for our guests!
Our village toboggan park has its own snowmaking machine to keep the kids happy all winter long, plus we have a second toboggan park located at North Side Express Chairlift, where you can then catch the lift up to our snowtubing park.
The Mt Buller Village is situated picturesquely at the heart of the mountain, offering ski in, ski out accommodation and a huge range of bars and restaurants. With a wide range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, there is something to cater for all needs. Over 30 bars and restaurants provide a range of delectable treats, from quick snacks to fine dining and a choice of nightlife options.
Mt Buller is also home to Breathtaker on High Alpine Spa Retreat, Australia's highest day spa and a range of off-piste activities from cinema, to retail therapy and rockclimbing.
Mt Buller also supports a wide range of environmental initiatives to help 'keep winter cool'. Buller Ski Lifts is proud to be the first Australian ski company to achieve international certification for environmental management and we are committed to retaining, and improving our Best Practice Certification.
The ski season at Mt Buller officially runs from the Queen’s Birthday weekend in June until the end of September/early October dependent on snow conditions. Please contact Mt Buller Resort Management on 03 5777 6077 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you are planning to head to Mt Buller in the last couple of weeks to ensure the Resort is still operating for skiing and snowboarding.
